Mr Arun Shourie's new book.

I was reading Mr Arun Shourie's new book, called 'There Must Be No Price'. I hope that I have mentioned the name correctly. In the second chapter of his book, Mr Shourie mentions that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was enthused in emphasizing the dangers imposed on India by communism, then, and the strong efforts needed in combating the dangers. May I ponder, did Mr Patel, in Mr Shourie's estimation, exert the strong will needed then, in combating the dangers? Did he stringently use the laws existing then, or did he feel the need to depend on laws like POTA? Let me ask a question. Would Mr Patel have passed a law like POTA in parliament? Then, why did he not? Apparently, communism then, like terrorism now, was having the same effect on India.
The problem, is not in the system, but in the people who are the system. People like perhaps, me. Mr Shourie, explained the lack of nationalism in the nation. How many people outside Mumbai, felt the way Mumbaikar's felt during, and immediately after 26/11. Did they even contemplate, that the events of 26/11 could happen to them? On another vein, if the city of Mumbai belongs to Mumbaikars, then why is it in the state that we find it now? Does the Mumbaikar care, living in Mumbai, about Mumbai? If parties blame each other, then is there any thing called responsibility? Because the BJP find's herself only reproaching the ruling coalition in parliament, as if she does not belong, to the system of parliament, but is only a guest of parliament, does she find, that the ruling coalition is not responsible to itself. The same would be true for the NDA, if the NDA were in power.
