What is awareness?

We believe, sometimes, that we are not in conflict with ourselves. However, perhaps, consciousness and awareness of ones surroundings, is a sign of a basic conflict in ourselves, with ourselves. In other words, we identify a car, or even a beautiful Red Rose, because a conflict in ourselves makes us do so. All conflict is not unpleasant. Those Sages, and Avatars, who have experienced Brahman, have learnt to overcome this basic conflict within themselves, perhaps. We must not be for, nor against, this internal conflict in ourselves.
